I was very happy to find out earlier this week that Thomas Roberts, the hunky CNN anchor, came out of the closet.
I hear he doesn't have a permanent slot right now, because CNN canceled his 4pm show. Today he was on at 1pm with Sophia Choi, but I don't know for how long he will keep that time slot.
Let's all flood CNN with e-mails to make sure he stays on the air...I sent my e-mail already.

I know, I know, it's hard to concentrate on the news, but he is good.

As a matter of fact, he looks a lot like an anchor we've got here at SIC TV: he used to play rugby (!) and there's no closet he could ever come out of... He's str8 2 (this 2 means «square»...)

calm down, guys. according to an interview roberts gave to christie keith of afterelton.com, he will anchor Headline News on weekends and will report during the week. he also states that he joined the NGLJA last year and that he actually came out to coworkers in 1999, when he was living in Norfolk, VA. he and his partner celebrate their anniversary on 30 Sept, according to the same interview. check it out.

Hey MLO, I had seen the interview at AfterElton. He seems like a nice guy on top of it all. He is on at 1pm on weekdays, but his slot appears to be temporary...he might be without it soon...

I emailed CNN, and they say he's still on, just at a different time in the afternoon. They just 'shuffled' some of their programming around.
I don't have cable, so I can't see for myself what's going on.

Well, the only thing I can say is thank you Headline News. You just gave me back some time in my day. I enjoyed getting my news from Thomas Roberts and even followed when he was moved to afternoons, which kind of disrupted my daily schedule, but I did it. I know you don't care, but you just lost a viewer.
