Watch the ad that gives a whole new meaning to "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter":
I was told that the ad will air on Bravo, Oxygen, E and Logo in New York and L.A., but that it was refused in San Francisco. Can you believe that? Go figure...I included a pic after the jump.
here! just released a campaign with a month-long outdoor advertising campaign in the West 14th Street station at Eighth Avenue, located in one of the most densely populated gay and lesbian neighborhoods in the US. The subway campaign started yesterday and unveiled "1-888-HERE-NOW". Get here queer!

I love the commercials from Coca-Cola before the movies. Here's the last one I saw:
I think the ad has a nice message against bullying and knuckleheadedness. I also think that the first act of goodness from the bully-looking character is an act of acceptance of the gays.
It looks like the tough guy is going to bash our gay, but they actually end up drinking a coke together. Super cute.
I know the guy in a pink t-shirt and baby blue sweater could be straight, but, come on...

I was having a Campbell soup in an unexpectedly cool summer day here in Seattle and my husband prompted me to Queerty to watch this homophobic ad:
I am pissed off. I couldn't agree more with the folks at Queerty: "The implicit message is that this guy is gay, and gay is bad." And I think the message in the ad above is clearer than the one in the Dodge Caliber ad (which you can watch here).
Campbell Soup Co., which owns Pace, doesn't do so bad on the Human Rights Campaign buyer's guide, and DaimlerChrysler, which owns Dodge, does even better.
We should certainly applaud companies that offer benefits to same-sex couples, but I am sick of companies sending mixed messages about gays. We can get some benefits, but it's alright to continue discriminating against us? Why? The message should only be positive. Period.

Man, what a lesson for Dodge. Here we have a macho ad for a macho deodorant -- Axe Click, and it carries positive gay content, with Ben Affleck! Watch it now:

It's an ad for Havaianas, the Brazilian flip-flops. The actor is Murilo Rosa, who has been on a few Brazilian soap operas recently. Read on for a little explanation on the Portuguese dialogue.
I spent the weekend in San Francisco. A bi-national couple gets to celebrate two Valentine's Day (the Brazilian Valentine's Day is today -- June 12).
It was very nice to see all the rainbow flags along Market Street:
A nice contrast with the lack of gay content on Macy's windows:
Well, it looks like Father's Day is the only event going on in June for Macy's...
This relates to the recent issue with Macy's Boston store.
