Hilary Swank is just crazy. Gotta love her. She will either win an Oscar or suck. Hard. Really. Here she won the Oscar, and deserved it. In the beginning of the movie the narrator, Morgan Freeman, tells us she grew up thinking she was trash (you might as well start crying right then, so good she is). Clint Eastwood was in the movie because he directed it. That is it. He blew. He got a little better toward the end, but sucked otherwise. He had this saggy, deep voice. Really annoying.
The movie tells us the story of Hilary Swank's character, a girl who wants to be a boxer, and her hard-headed coach (Clint). There is a political issue 20 minutes towards the end of the movie. Done subtly. Well done.
Our gay content is minimum, hence the low score. The boxer played by Anthony Mackie teases the character played by Jay Baruschel because of his girlie pants, stuff like that. Nothing big though. Anyway, Anthony's character gets his butt kicked by Morgan Freeman. Without the lesson taught by Morgan this would have been a Shipwreck 4. You tell them Morgan! Go rent the movie.
