Good movie. Truly original. Great acting. I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a very good job, on par with his Mysterious Skin performance. Watch the trailer here.
In the movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a teenager seeking to understand the troubles his former girlfriend is going through. His former girlfriend is played by Lost's Emily de Ravin. She's a screw-up crack-head. She is brilliant in her small cameo. You'll forget all about the "where's my baby?" overacting from her Lost role.
Another girl, played by Nora Zehetner tries to help out but her intentions are all shady. Nora is just brilliant. What a great performance. Seriously, you could go see this movie just to watch her being a contrived, unusually classy, bitch. Capital C. Total gangster movie with teenagers. The dialogs are fast paced, confusing, artsy. All works out great.
I don't know if the movie was believable, but I don't know if it was supposed to be believable. Do go see it in the theaters. No gay content though. Damn it.
