You have got to read Sheryl McCarthy's piece on USA Today. Man, we need more of that.
In her article, Sheryl states that "as the debate rages over whether gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry, I'm disappointed whenever I hear other African-Americans say, "No, they shouldn't." We're more opposed to same-sex marriage than whites are, according to a June survey by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, which found that 65% of African-Americans are against it compared with 53% of whites."
Go Sheryl! Saw it first on Towle. Seriously, go read the article.

Very good article indeed, Augusto! Thank you very much!
The kind of arguments people generally evoke against homosexuality «tout court», not to mention against same-sex marriage, is beyond my understanding and, some times, beyond my so-called tolerance...
Respect is mainly what we all need in each and every aspect of our daily lives on this planet. Without it I do fear we're doomed.
Be marry - huh, sorry... - merry! :-)
