Excellent movie. A good reminder that marriage should be about love (not money or anything else). I usually avoid period pieces because I pretty much lack the ability to put movies into context, so most times I get all riled up on those class related verbal abuses ("you're of inferior birth" crap), but this was really good, and that is considering that Keira Knightley annoys the shit out of me. On the other hand, Rosamund Pike, who plays Keira's sister, is becoming one of my favorites. I hate her name though, I think I'll just call her Mary. That's better.
Even if you have no formal schooling you should know the movie is based on Jane Austen's book. The movie tells us the story of the Bennet family and its matriarch's quest to marry her daughters to rich men. Characters played by Matthew MacFadyen (he was excellent), Simon Woods and Rupert Friend are some of the targets. Rent the movie already (or should I say queue it up at Netflix.com?).
