We had such a beautiful day here in Seattle. Not a cloud in the sky:
The Seattle Pride 2006 Parade started downtown and headed to Seattle Center. This year, the action happened both at Seattle Center and Capitol Hill. Read more about the two events here.
I was used to the party-like atmosphere in the Sao Paulo parade, but I liked the more political bent to the parade here in Seattle (lots of politicians rallying, corporations with their gay employees, etc.).
The parade was very well behaved, nothing too crazy.
We had a handful of bible thumping (literally of course) homophobes.
I loved these pretty girls fighting back at the homophobes. We also got some whistles to counter the homophobes use of megaphones.
They can all suck it, those homophobes.
It was hot. Almost 90F.
I'm working on a picture album for the event, but until that's up, enjoy the many extra pics after the jump.
UPDATE: More about parades all over the world at Queerty, Made in Brazil, Towle and Oh La La.
