here! just released a campaign with a month-long outdoor advertising campaign in the West 14th Street station at Eighth Avenue, located in one of the most densely populated gay and lesbian neighborhoods in the US. The subway campaign started yesterday and unveiled "1-888-HERE-NOW". Get here queer!

The issue continues to make its rounds on the blogosphere. It was lately suggested that Isaiah Washington's character should be outed as a gay man. People reacted to that saying that being gay should not be a punishment, and I can understand the reasoning behind that reaction; but that is not the problem I see with the "going gay solution."
I think Isaiah needs to change his bigoted attitude, and playing gay won't do it. KIT212 pointed to this piece from the L.A. Times, which informed me that Isaiah played gay before:
"A veteran Hollywood television and film actor, the 43-year-old Washington played a gay character in Spike Lee's 1996 movie 'Get on the Bus' who confronts vicious homophobia."
So,it seems he was already "sentenced" to being gay before and that didn't change his homophobia. Why would it be different this time? ABC must fire his ass now! As long as he is fired, I wouldn't mind seeing him go after coming out as a gay doctor. I queued "Get on the Bus" on Netflix -- so expect a review soon.
We need to call this bigot on his homophobia. The hypocrite should be fired ASAP. I can't watch the show with him on...

UPDATE: I'm all in with Perez on Isaiah's apologies. Apologies, now, in a desperate attempt to save his job, are not enough. I want to see Isaiah donating big bucks (like a year's salary) to GLAAD or a similar gay organization. Then, maybe, we can talk...I'm still furious.
You probably saw this picture of Jake Gyllenhaal with his manservant on Towle the other day:
Now take a look at these two other pictures, from Jake's performance on Saturday Night Live:
Notice any similarity? Here's my theory. The manservant's real name is Frank. Jake and Frank were in bed one night and Frank asked Jake for a proof of his love, and Jake said: "okay, so, like, I will host Saturday Night Live on January 13, and, like, I will have one of my characters in one of the skits be named Frank, just like you, and the character will wear that green jacket that you love so much; oh, and, like, every smile on that skit will mean that I am thinking of you, and that I love you. I just hope one of them queer bloggers doesn't find out about our secret message..." And then they kissed...or something.
Jake Gyllenhaal did a great job on SNL, what a nice show! The opening monologue was funny and all about Brokeback Mountain, of course.
In the opening monologue Jake said Brokeback was an important movie for him because it allowed him to connect with a new audience; he also said he was ready to do something that that audience has been eagerly waiting for...find out what was that all about after the jump (with the video).
I have no doubt that the show Brothers & Sisters has been shining a positive light for the gays. Matthew Rhys is doing great as Kevin Walker, the gay attorney. I love the show and will continue to watch it. However, the last episode was not so great for us gays. Stop reading if you intend to watch the episode "Family Day" later.
In the last episode, Calista Flockhart is considering a job offer from Republican Senator McCallister, played by Rob Lowe, who only gets hotter as he ages. Her brother in the show, played by Matthew Rhys, points out to Calista that it would be crazy to accept a job with a Republican homophobe who has voted against gay rights (McCallister had previously endorsed a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage). During their exchanges, Calista tells Matthew Rhys that she is against gay marriage herself.
I was sad to see that Calista is not for gay marriage. For Calista's character, marriage is a religious institution; gays should have civil unions. I can't really tell what "civil unions" are; I am not really sure what rights will be granted, but even if equal rights are not granted, I believe it is safe to assume that civil unions are an improvement over no rights at all, but I also believe it is just another form of "separate but not equal;" I think that the argument for civil unions dismisses an important lesson from the civil rights movement for African Americans: separate is not equal. For a character that is deemed to be mildly intelligent not to see the problem with the "civil union" argument is just sad.
Later in the episode Calista accepts the job, after getting to know Rob Lowe's character a little more in a conversation that included Rob Lowe's character saying he would support gay rights...for whatever that means.
To our consolation, it happens that the brother of Rob Lowe's character is also gay. We did not see the brother in question and we do not know whether he is single (and a potential love interest for Matthew Rhys) since Rob Lowe did not respond Calista's question about his brother's dating situation.
In the "scenes from the next episode" we see that Matthew is hooking up with Jason Lewis, the guy who played Samantha's boyfriend on Sex and the City.
Initially I thought that Lewis would be McCallister's brother, but his name on the next episode will be Chad Berry...probably not McCallister's brother...I'll keep my eye on them of course...
The Desperate Housewives' episode tonight was pretty darn good. I will talk about one funny scene in the episode, I will not ruin the plot but you should stop reading if you intend to see the episode "No Fits, No Fights, No Feuds" later.
There is this short scene in which Danielle Van De Kamp (played by Joy Lauren) and Andrew Van De Kamp (played by Shawn Pyfrom) are listening to Julie Mayer (played by Andrea Bowen), who 
is talking about her intimate moments with her boyfriend Austin Britt (played by Josh Henderson). Julie tells the two Van De Kamps that when Austin tried to get to third base with her she stopped him and he understood. Andrew says that only two kinds of guys would do that: guys who are already having sex with something else, and gay guys; and he goes on to say that Austin is not gay, not even after the third beer. That was pretty funny. Now I want to see that third beer scene Andrew alluded to, can you imagine? Well, after what we have already seen with Andrew it should not be hard to imagine...
After that, Danielle just shrugs saying that Austin is just a nice, respectful, guy and advising Julie not to listen to Andrew; Julie should take her advice instead, after all, she is Danielle Van De Tramp (a nickname Danielle had created for herself to replace an even worse nickname...)
Did you guys see the last episode of Saturday Night Live? The show was hosted by Matthew Fox. I like him, I really do, but bitch did not do well on live TV. He was lost and not funny, he just couldn't deliver his lines. The worst part is that bombing actually made him even hotter for some reason. Not even the gut and the love handles could cool off his hotness:

I said here before that I am really into Reno 911. I think the show is really funny, and the funniest characters are played by Niecy Nash (IMDb page). Take a look:

Niecy is the host of Clean House (I included a clip for that after the jump) and has appeared as a correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I hope we get to see her more often. Keep us laughing, Niecy!
